HOW MUCH DOES
HOUSE CLEANING
COST IN ATLANTA?
Most house cleaning visits in Atlanta run about $130–$252, with an average around $187 per visit, based on Angi’s Atlanta market data. A small apartment on a recurring schedule sits at the low end; a first-time deep clean of a big house is where prices climb past that range. Prices look random from the outside — here’s what actually builds the number.

What does a typical house cleaning visit cost in Atlanta?
Most Atlanta house cleaning visits cost $130–$252, averaging about $187 (Angi Atlanta market data). Recurring visits run less per visit than one-time cleans. That’s market reference, not a Minty price list — your home gets quoted in writing once we know the scope.
I’m Ashton with Minty Clean ATL. House cleaning prices look random from the outside — one neighbor pays one number, somebody across town pays double. Here’s what actually builds the number, what moves it up or down in Atlanta specifically, and how to get a quote that holds. The full service is on our house cleaning page.
- Small apartment or condo, recurring: one or two bedrooms, kept up between visits — usually the bottom of the range.
- Average single-family home, recurring: three bedrooms, two baths, kitchen and living areas — lands mid-range.
- First-time or deep clean: the first visit almost always costs more, because it’s undoing months of buildup, not maintaining a clean home.
- Move-in / move-out clean: empty-home detail work, inside cabinets and appliances included — usually priced like a deep clean or above it.
FOUR THINGS
SET THE PRICE.
Four things: the size of the home, its condition on the day, how often we come, and what’s on the list beyond the basics. A tidy 1,200 sq ft bungalow in Decatur and a 4,000 sq ft Buckhead house with three dogs are not the same job, and honest pricing treats them that way.
That’s why two homes on the same street can get two different quotes and both be fair. Name the real scope up front and the number you hear is the number you pay.
- Size and layout: bedrooms and bathrooms drive time more than raw square footage — bathrooms and kitchens are the labor-heavy rooms everywhere
- Condition: a home cleaned every two weeks is maintenance; a home that hasn’t been touched in six months is a project, and the first visit prices like one
- Frequency: weekly and biweekly visits cost less per visit than monthly, because less builds up between them — that’s not a sales trick, it’s just how the hours work
- Extras: inside the fridge, inside the oven, interior windows, and laundry add time — naming them up front keeps them from becoming surprise line items later
Why does the first clean cost more than the ones after it?
The first visit is a deep clean whether it’s called one or not — shower grout, baseboards, kitchen grease, and buildup that recurring visits never let form again. After that first reset, maintenance visits are faster, and the price drops to match.
This is the part people feel burned by when a company doesn’t explain it. The quote that doubles on visit one and settles after isn’t a bait-and-switch if it’s spelled out before anybody books. Ask any cleaner you talk to — us included — to separate the first-visit price from the recurring price, in writing.
How much does a deep clean cost compared to a regular clean?
A deep clean in Atlanta typically runs noticeably above a standard visit for the same home — it’s the standard clean plus the detail list: baseboards, vents, inside appliances, grout attention, and the corners a regular visit rotates through more slowly.
- Standard / recurring visit: kitchens and bathrooms sanitized, floors, dusting, surfaces — the upkeep list.
- Deep clean: everything above, plus the detail work. Most homes need one to start, then once or twice a year after.
- Move-out clean: a deep clean in an empty home, aimed at a landlord walkthrough or a buyer’s first impression, not at daily living.
What changes the price in Atlanta specifically?
Atlanta adds its own line items: pollen season coats every surface from March through May, red clay tracks in at every door, and summer humidity makes bathrooms work harder. High-rise access in Midtown and gated driveways in Buckhead add real minutes too.
- Pollen: a spring visit in Atlanta is partly a pollen-removal visit — flat surfaces, fans, and sills hold a yellow film that isn’t there in January.
- Red clay and entries: foyers and mud areas take a beating here, especially after rain; entry floors need more than a quick pass most of the year.
- Buildings and gates: Midtown condo towers mean elevators, loading docks, and check-in desks; Buckhead and Sandy Springs mean gate codes and long driveways. None of it’s a problem — it just belongs in the quote, not discovered on the day.
How do you get a quote that doesn’t change?
Describe the home honestly — beds, baths, pets, when it was last professionally cleaned, and the two or three things that bother you most. A quote built on that beats a cheap number built on nothing, which is the one that changes later.
At Minty, quotes go out in writing, and the price you’re given for the scope you described is the price. If the home turns out to be a genuinely different job than described, we say so before the work starts, not on the invoice.
House cleaning cost FAQs
How much should I pay a house cleaner in Atlanta?
Most Atlanta homeowners pay $130–$252 per visit, averaging about $187 (Angi Atlanta market data). Where you land depends on home size, condition, and frequency — recurring visits sit lower per visit than one-time cleans.
Is it cheaper to book recurring cleaning?
Per visit, yes. Weekly and biweekly visits cost less each than monthly or one-time cleans, because the home never fully builds back up between visits. The first visit is usually priced as a deep clean, then the recurring rate applies.
Do cleaners bring their own supplies?
We do — supplies and equipment are part of the service at Minty Clean ATL. If you prefer specific products used in your home, say so when you book and we’ll work with yours instead.
How long does a house cleaning visit take?
A recurring visit to an average Atlanta home usually takes about 2–3 hours. First-time deep cleans run longer — often 4 hours or more for a larger home — because of the detail list, not because anyone is moving slowly.
What’s not included in a standard clean?
Interior windows, inside appliances, and laundry aren’t in a standard visit — they’re add-ons, named and priced up front if you want them. Anything hazmat-adjacent isn’t a cleaning task at all; ask and we’ll tell you straight.
